Furthermore...

This made me think of my father:

It was clear that the books owned the shop rather than the otherway about. Everywhere they had run wild and taken possession of their habitat, breeding and multiplying and clearly lacking any strong hand to keep them down.

  1. i REALLY think that wine was a MAJOR cultural thing back then. they had it like... with every meal and even more than that. of course, there are always exceptions, but i think they knew how to handle their wine. i challenge you to find a modern day person who hasn't made an "alcoholic mistake"... accident or not. i am not even claiming that i wont ever make one... i just really think we would be a whole lot better off if the stuff just didn't exist.
