She's a firecracker! And she gives a great speech.
This year will be my second election as an eligible voter, and I am feeling "energized"--a commonly used word these days--about the republican ticket. It's likely I'll be voting for McCain/Palin.
Is it tacky to share that with you?

Wasn't she wonderful?
I was sitting curled up in a chair in the living room biting my fingernails for two hours prior to her speech. Obviously last night's speech was a pivotal one. All eyes were turned to Sarah Palin to see just what she's made of. And I don't think she disappointed anyone...except maybe the "people" who would have much rather seen her fail.
It's almost humorous to me to listen to the progressive feminists respond to her. Yes, it's historic for a woman to do what Palin has done. But they
didn't really want this woman. She hasn't shed the "burdens" of womanhood (wife, mother, anti-abortion) to tirelessly pursue career and power, and therefore she's unfit to be the woman. No, instead she's embraced motherhood, marriage, children, and career (along with her own hobbies/interests). I think her accomplishments are incredible, and I'm excited to see what happens next with this little lady.

She seemed to speak from her heart, and I think Americans will like the fact that she's not your typical Washington-bred politician.
Although I do wonder how the lack of attention to healthcare is going to impact the McCain/Palin campaign.
Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good.
Sorry if the politics talk is boring! For whatever reason, I tried to stay away from it, but over the past few days as my interest has increased I've decided that if I want to be informed I need to be as informed as possible about all parties and candidates.
Overall, I believe God has ordained who will be the next POTUS. But I don't think that means I can't get excited about a particular candidate.
I was about to leave "President" blank on my ballot (or write in Mickey Mouse) but I really do like Sarah Palin. We'll see how it goes! -Kari
